Several times a year church leaders meet to promote New Testament Baptist Churches, our common doctrinal beliefs, global evangelism, training and Baptist Distinctives. Pastor Billy Ingram leads Canaan Baptist Church in Covington, Georgia. He married Christy Poole in 1997. After 17 years of marriage, the Lord blessed them with three children: Priscilla, Wil, and Gretchen. Billy accepted Christ at the age of nine and felt a call to ministry in his teenage years. He graduated from Ambassador Baptist College in 1997 and initially served in youth ministry for three years before joining Falls Baptist Church under Pastor Wayne Van Gelderen Jr. During this time, he enrolled in the Baptist College of Ministry and earned a Master’s in Biblical Studies.
After seminary, the Ingrams began full-time evangelism, and later joined Bible Baptist Church in Stillwater, Oklahoma, under Pastor Wayne Hardy. In 2014, he became the pastor of Canaan Baptist Church in Covington, GA.
Since assuming his role at Canaan Baptist, Pastor Ingram has dedicated himself to developing the roles of men as individuals, husbands, and fathers. He has also led recovery programs for those struggling with addiction. In addition, he founded a Christian school academy that caters to all grades, as well as a music academy at the church, which offers a comprehensive string pr
ogram featuring over thirty different instruments. Furthermore, he has overseen renovations of all church facilities and is currently spearheading expansion efforts to enhance the church’s potential for growth and development. Pastor Ingram frequently speaks at conferences, retreats, and revival meetings with a passion for the Christ Life and victorious life truths.
