Minutes of the
Global Independent Baptist Fellowship
The meeting was called to order by GIBF Chairman Kevin Folger at 2:30 P.M.
1] Minutes from the May 11, 2005 meeting were distributed.
- A motion to approve the minutes was given by Pastor Terry Williams.
- Pastor Ken Walters provided the second to the motion.
- The vote was unanimous.
2] Bro. Folger asked Pastor Dick Webster to address the fact that the next meeting of the GIBF is being held at Liberty Baptist Church of Lewisville, Texas.
- Pastor Webster passed out brochures about the meeting. The theme will be "The Light of the World is Missions." There will be a GIBM Missionary each night of the meeting.
- The church is 10 minutes from DFW; and, if housing is needed, he requests that he be contacted.
3] Pastor Jeff Ables presented a letter to the chairman requesting to host the meeting of the GIBF in September of 2006.
- Pastor Dick Webster made a motion to accept the invitation.
- Pastor Mario Monette made a second to the motion.
- The vote to approve was unanimous.
4] The chairman informed us that there is still a need for a church to host the February 2008 meeting. A formal request should be made on church letterhead.
5] Pastor Rich Farinella gave a report on the Baptist Times. It was decided that the February meeting each year would be designated to raise money for the Baptist Times.
Bro. Farinella still needs about $250.00 a month more for part time help. He has invited Pastor Dave Lydick to be a co-editor of the paper. He reminded the group that evangelists can advertise in the paper.
Bro. Folger advised each person to bring an offering for the paper in February. He also raised additional support for the Baptist Times. The following men promised to raise their current level of support or start supporting the paper.

Bro. Farinella stated a need of $5,000 for the times. The following men promised the following:

- Pastor Chester Thrift - $100.00

6] Bro. Robert Lewis gave a report on the Missions Office of the GIBM. Deputation school was a success. Support is needed for the missions office. The board of advisors was to meet after the service that night and hear and speak to the missions candidates.
7] Bro. Folger brought up the situation in the gulf region after the hurricanes. Bro. Lewis had visited the region and had met Pastor Decker from Ocean Springs , Mississippi . Bro. Folger suggested that churches could take an offering and channel it through the GIBM office. Bro. Lewis would see that it was channeled through Pastor Decker.
8] In the last meeting, the GIBF operational agreement was approved. In this meeting a vote to approve the GIBF Covenant Resolution was held.
- The motion to approve the Covenant Resolution was made by Pastor Dave Triplett.
- The second to the motion was presented by Pastor Mario Monette.
- The vote was unanimous.
9] Pastor Marshall Stevens gave a report on the PC/HBBC Alumni Assocation. He encouraged memberships from graduates and non graduates.
10] A call for the closing of the meeting was given.
- Pastor Mario Monette made the motion.
- Pastor Clarence Patterson made the second to the motion.
- The vote was unanimous.
Pastor Dennis Fountain was asked to dismiss the meeting in prayer.
The meeting ended at 3:15 P.M.
