Just to followup, this is a GREAT tool!  I have less and less need for a thumb drive these days.  Anywhere I go, on any PC as long as there is internet, I have access to what I have in Dropbox.

I felt the Lord would have us to renovate our auditorium.  There were two main reasons for this need.  The first was to build a room that could house the computer room of the academy.  The room would save us on utilities in the winter months by lessoning the need to heat the upper floor where the computers were last year.  The second reason was the old auditorium was much larger that our congregation.  It was discouraging to the church seeing all the empty pews.

We built a PC room, a new platform, and a soundbooth in the back of the auditorium.

The Lord has already blessed this year with baptisms and professions of faith.  We have a lot of new Chirstians that have been saved, baptised and joining the church.  The project cost around $2000 in materials and the church men and myself did all the labor.  What a blessing to have the men work so hard and skillfully and at the same time the ladies volunteerin to cook and clean.  In the end approximately 25 folks from the church had a hand in the project some putting in more than 60 hours last week!

Attached are a few photos.

As you may know, you can attach files to your posts here on the Bulletin Board.  In the same way that you might attach a file to an email, you can attach pictures, documents, letters, etc. This is a great way for missionaries to quickly post their latest prayer letter.

At the request of some who are trying to use this feature, we have increased the size of document that you can attach. Hopefully,  this will make it possible for missionaries and others to attach PDF files or larger photos.

From my understanding it also can work with certain phones.  The setup is very quick.  Please go through my link if you give it a try, we will both get 250MB of free space!  You can have a total of 8 gb on your free account through referrals.

It also works with both MACs and PCs.

Great idea. I am going to try this application soon. It would be a real asset while traveling and not having to tote every file you may or my not need on your journey.

Thanks!

I have recently started using "DropBox"  it creates a folder that is stored on the internet and cam be accessed from PC to PC.  The folder automatically will sync the files in the folder so they are identicle.  This has greatly reduced my dependance on thumbdrives to carry my filles.

Go through this link: https://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTkwNDQxNDI5 as a referral from me, gives you and me an extra 250mb of free storage for the referral.  The free account starts at 2 GB of space.

Ten years ago, Cleveland Baptist Church hosted the historic meeting of the inception of the Global Independent Baptist Fellowship. We are now honored to host the September meeting of 2010. We want to take this opportunity to to you to come to Cleveland, Ohio, for this time of great preaching and felllowship. We have selected the theme "fields White Unto Harvest," and I know our church will be a blessing to you.

Click on the attachment and you will find a list the speakers and the suggested hotels. Please call us or go to our website if you need additional information or help making your plans.

Our hope is that this bulletin board will become a well-used place for fellowship, information and encouragement. It is far more secure and confidential than the old Yahoo mail list.  Additionally, it offers flexibility that the old mail list could not.

Many of you simply received and sent messages in the old group via email, which made things pretty simple. While the forum concept may be new to some of you, it won't take long before you are just as comfortable here as with your email program.

The Bulletin board is made up of several forums. You might think of them as discussion groups.  There is an Open Forum, which you are reading right now, which is open to all members of the bulletin board. Additionally, there are forums for Preachers, Missionaires, GIBM Missionaries, Ladies and others. When you registered, Brother Lewis gave you access to the forums that will be applicable to you. No one can get into a closed forum without Brother Lewis giving them access.

Therefore, Pastor, when you want to notify everyone of a prayer request, you can post it in the open forum, for all to see.  If, on the other hand, you want counsel from other preachers on a thorny problem of ministry, you may feel that it is better to post it in the Preacher's Forum, where only other preachers can read and comment.

Creating a New Message

When you have something new to say simply choose the appropriate forum and then click the "New Topic" tab on the top right corner of the subject list. At the new screen, type in your subject (be specific) and then type your message in the box. You can even add color and use bold print or attach small documents to your post. (use the "additional options" link at the bottom of the posting box.)

Replying to a Topic

If, for example, someone has posted a need for used hymnals and you have a supply to give, click the "Reply" tab on the bottom of the message. Your reply will show up in that topic area.  Of course, you can reply to a reply, allowing for full discussion on a particular topic.  Not interested in that topic? No problem, just ignore it. When you open a particular forum you can see all of the topics and how many replies each has had. Newest posts are at the top. Click the ones that interest you.

Still nervous? There is a handy "preview" button that lets you see exactly what your post will look like before you release it to the world.

Why not start by posting a "howdy" in the open forum? Let everyone know you are here and get some practice at posting.

Any questions or comments? Just click "Reply" on the tab below.
